For Better or Worse

What does this mean? Are these words really considered?

For many these four words are just an old age saying that are uttered during a marriage ceremony. During the wedding ceremony the facilitator often asks who gives this woman to this man and the father or proxy will say I do. When the last guest has left the building, it is time to live beyond those four words. But it is not until the honeymoon (which begins the second you walk out of the banquet hall) that you truly give yourselves to one another.  And it is at that very moment you begin your quest to find your place in the rhythm of your new life. Sometimes the worst happens before the better. Couples might find themselves arguing almost all the time or in constant disagreement.  One spouse may be diagnosed with an illness, the additional of children or finances disrupt the bliss you felt on that special day. Whatever the reason for conflict in your  marriage always remember that you pledged for better or worse!
